The following tofu-containing shake-like blended product (okay, “smoothie”) varies for me over time. Usually makes about two (large) cups worth. Cut down on the protein if cycling, as the body burns carbohydrates when under heavy load.
Blend the above well. Add frozen berries to taste and blend to taste. If using fresh berries, freeze them first, rather than using ice. Other nifty additions, when in season: white peaches, or asian pears.
Combine equal amounts cardamon and poppy seeds with ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon to taste. If possible, buy whole spices and blend just before using.
